Well what do you know this thing really only took me 15 minutes to do! Well wiki's, hmm as far as things go I trust Wikipedia just about as much as i do any web site, so i have to base the information i get off of it against my current knowledge, and what i see elsewhere during my online searches.
In general the idea of more specific wiki's sounds like a good idea, you would hope that the people that are editing specific wiki's are more likely to be knowledgeable in their posts. I do like that it is a conglomerate of knowledge, so that where one person may be wrong there are others out there who can correct them. however just because a large group of people may accept something as fact does not mean it is necessarily true.
